Thank you for establishing this weblog for us to reflect upon our military service. When I was a lieutenant, we were required to write papers regarding short books on leadership. The purpose of this requirement was to become a better leader and writer. When I was a captain, we were required to give speeches to local community groups. The purpose was to become better public speakers and tell the army story. Now as a major, we are expected to blog about our military service. I believe the unstated purpose of this requirement is to expose officers to technology while allowing us to reflect on our service. This blog has been a great opportunity to reflect on what requirements I have been asked to complete at different times in my military service.
